Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - 1099 Contractor (Virtual)

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates is looking for contract psychiatrists to join its provider network, which includes in-person and virtual therapists, physicians and coaches across the US. As a contract psychiatrist, you will provide evidence-based treatment through live 60-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-ups, conducting psychiatric evaluations and medication management. You will be contracted by Lyra Clinical Associates.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage.
• Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD and mood disorders.
• Educate families, involve them in care planning and guide them on supportive measures at home.
• Deliver virtual psychiatric sessions and keep in regular contact with members and families.
• Take part in team meetings, help with collaborative care planning and give consultative support to colleagues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, care plans and progress notes, and use data analytics to improve care quality.
• Stay compliant with regulatory and quality standards and keep up with professional development.

Required profile

• Board-certified or board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state.
• Demonstrated family engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents and young adults.
• Commitment to culturally responsive care.

Required skills

• Experience providing telehealth therapy services is preferred but not required.
• Literacy with computer and live video tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, DoxyMe or Skype.
• Familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and ability to practice within an accredited framework.
