Chief Security Officer

About the role

Moog is seeking a Chief Security Officer to serve as the primary advisor on physical security, crisis and incident management, insider threat, and travel and event security. Reporting to the Director of Risk Management, the CSO will operate from the corporate headquarters in East Aurora, NY, on a hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) team, including regional security heads and external vendors.
• Oversee the maturation of crisis management, incident response, and resiliency planning across the enterprise.
• Establish robust incident command structures, training programs, and documentation for a wide range of global emergency scenarios.
• Promote a culture of safety, security awareness, and regulatory compliance throughout Moog.
• Lead change‑management initiatives to embed security practices across global operations.
• Utilize advanced analytics and threat intelligence to guide strategic decisions and resource allocation.
• Translate global security strategy into actionable procedures covering physical, executive, travel, personnel, and operational security.
• Collaborate with Facilities and Real Estate on global facility expansions, renovations, and build‑outs.
• Standardize site security measures such as access control, CCTV, and guard forces across Moog’s worldwide footprint.
• Lead investigations and act as senior liaison with federal, state, and local law‑enforcement agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, engineering, business administration or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• More than 15 years of progressive security leadership experience, ideally in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing.
• Relevant certifications such as PSP, CPP or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Experience with global regulatory frameworks and eligibility for a high‑level security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and residence in the Buffalo, NY area for onsite work.
