Chief AI & Data Architect

About the role

The Chief AI & Data Architect will define and drive the enterprise‑wide AI and data strategy for a regulated organization. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures data is trusted, governed, and AI‑ready while overseeing safe, compliant, and scalable AI deployments across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own an integrated AI and data roadmap aligned with business goals and regulatory commitments.
• Sponsor enterprise data governance, establishing ownership, quality, lineage, and lifecycle controls.
• Lead the design and operation of AI and data platforms, including model lifecycle management, data pipelines, MLOps, and GenAI enablement.
• Implement AI and data governance frameworks, intake processes, approval gates, and responsible AI principles.
• Collaborate with Legal, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Oversee the AI and data portfolio, guiding initiatives from pilot to production and measuring value realization.

Required profile

• 15+ years of leadership experience in data, analytics, AI, or enterprise technology.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale AI and data programs in complex, regulated environments.
• Deep understanding of data governance, cloud platforms, AI/ML lifecycle management, and risk controls.
• Executive presence with the ability to influence across business, operations, and IT.
