Chemical Plater Processor

About the role

Moog is seeking a Chemical Plater Processor to join its technical process team in Christiansburg, VA. The role involves operating plating equipment, handling chemicals safely, and supporting laboratory tasks in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow process instructions to perform technical plating tasks.
• Prepare lead immersion treatments and conduct pre‑plate operations.
• Execute general and preventative maintenance such as attaching anodes and changing filters.
• Work safely in acidic, basic, and toxic environments while wearing required respirators.
• Complete process and quality documentation, including quarterly reports and material issue sheets.
• Assist plating lab personnel with sample pulling, coupon plating, chemical additions, and water jug refills.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maintain housekeeping, and report unsafe conditions immediately.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand verbal, written, and computer instructions in English.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Mechanical aptitude, good dexterity, and ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Capability to work safely around hazardous chemicals and wear a respirator.
