Process Engineer

About the role

Moog fosters a performance culture where people solve technical challenges and trust each other. The Industrial Group Slip Ring and Marine team in Christiansburg, Virginia is seeking a Process Engineer to support slip‑ring production and drive manufacturing improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings.
• Support slip‑ring production departments and outsource vendors.
• Oversee manufacturing process development with domestic and international teams.
• Order and maintain manufacturing tooling, work instructions, labor standards, and facility layout.
• Review and respond to quotes for new orders and conduct mechanical and electrical design reviews.
• Provide technical problem‑solving support to offshore vendors and enforce ITAR and other regulatory requirements.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for management.
• Travel domestically and internationally to support vendors and technical exchanges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least three years of engineering experience.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Willingness to travel once or twice per quarter, both domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Blueprint and drawing interpretation.
• Mechanical and electrical manufacturing design review.
• Manufacturing tooling and process development.
• ITAR compliance and regulatory knowledge.
