Chef - Powderbird

About the role

Powderbird, a helicopter skiing operator based at Snowbird Resort in Utah, is looking for a chef for its winter season. The position is responsible for the kitchen and for helping to prepare, cook and serve breakfast and lunch to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and help prepare, cook and present meals to guests daily
• Help set up, restock and break down the dining area, including refilling beverage coolers
• Aid in creating and implementing breakfast and lunch menus that enhance the Powderbird experience
• Order and maintain food stock, including one-off purchases from local stores such as Costco or Smith's
• Cook employee meals as required and present buffet-style meals
• Adapt to specific guest requests and consistently deliver high-quality meals
• Work with the Manager and Heliport Steward to keep the kitchen and other areas exceptionally clean, following food safety and sanitation guidelines

Required profile

• High school degree or GED equivalent
• Valid state-issued driver's license
• Previous culinary experience required; hospitality or resort experience preferred
• ServSafe certification required
• Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 lbs and to stand for up to 12 hours a day
• Good hearing and vision, and the dexterity to use kitchen equipment normally
• Background check required after accepting an offer
