Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Full‑Time

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth UTower Anesthesiology Department is seeking full‑time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to provide anesthesia care for surgical and medical procedures. CRNAs work closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other clinicians to ensure safe and effective patient sedation and pain management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑operative assessments and document anesthesia plans.
• Administer, monitor, and adjust local, intravenous, spinal, or other anesthetics under the direction of an anesthesiologist.
• Manage airway and pulmonary status, including endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, and extubation.
• Monitor vital signs, skin color, pupil dilation, heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and urine output throughout the procedure.
• Respond to emergencies with airway management, fluid/drug administration, and advanced life support techniques.
• Oversee post‑operative recovery and provide immediate post‑anesthesia care.
• Perform or evaluate diagnostic tests such as radiographs and electrocardiograms.

Required profile

• Master’s degree and graduation from an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia Program (CRNA).
• Valid Florida CRNA license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
