Certified Peer Recovery Specialist – Supportive Housing

About the role
This multi‑employer, full‑time role provides peer support, case management, residential supervision, and supportive services to individuals facing mental health, substance use, homelessness, or co‑occurring challenges across several supportive housing and behavioral health sites in Baltimore.
Key responsibilities
- Provide peer‑based support, mentorship, and recovery planning assistance.
- Support clients in developing life skills, navigating community resources, and maintaining wellness.
- Conduct regular on‑site safety checks, medication management, and documentation.
- Assist with resident engagement, crisis response, and coordination with clinical staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to trauma‑informed, culturally responsive practices.
- Support program operations, including safety drills, property maintenance, and resident meetings.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED (additional education preferred).
- Valid Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) credential.
- Personal lived experience with recovery from substance use and/or mental health challenges.
- At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to pass background checks, obtain CPR/First Aid certification, and complete onboarding.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
