About the role

The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patients in the Surgical Oncology and Bariatrics units. This full‑time position works 12‑hour shifts and may include days, nights, and weekends.

Key responsibilities

Provide personal hygiene care, including bedpans, showers, and grooming.
Assist with meals, ambulation, positioning, and hydration.
Perform basic clinical tasks such as enemas, non‑sterile dressings, surgical prep, and applying restraints.
Collect specimens, conduct urine testing, and deliver post‑mortem care.
Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and respond promptly to call lights.

Required profile

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid State of Florida CNA license.
0–1 year of relevant experience.
Ability to learn new procedures and work collaboratively in a team.
