About the role
The University of Miami Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to work in the Penthouse South unit. This full‑time position involves 12‑hour shifts and may include days, nights, and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily care activities throughout the nursing unit.
- Provide constant observation for patients requiring heightened safety monitoring.
- Perform receptionist and clerical duties to support unit efficiency.
- Implement patient care plans established by the RN.
- Alert RN team members promptly when emergencies arise or patient status changes.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- Valid Florida CNA license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of relevant CNA experience.
