Certified Nursing Assistant – Penthouse North (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Penthouse North nursing unit on a full‑time basis. The CNA will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for patients throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Support patients during meals, feeding, ambulation, turning, and positioning.
• Collect non‑invasive specimens, perform basic wound care, and apply therapeutic treatments.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and promptly respond to call lights.
• Transport patients and equipment while maintaining a safe environment.
• Document patient interactions and report changes in condition to the assigned nurse.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of relevant patient‑care experience.
• Valid State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• Ability to learn new procedures and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Valid Florida CNA license.
