About the role
The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide patient care in the Oncology unit on a full‑time schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance, including bedpans, showers, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves.
- Assist with meals, feeding, ambulation, turning, positioning, and hydration.
- Administer enemas, douches, non‑sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, therapeutic and sitz baths, and apply restraints.
- Perform urine testing, specimen collection, and post‑mortem care.
- Answer call lights promptly and transport patients and equipment as needed.
- Report patient conditions to the assigned nurse and record vital signs, intake, and output.
- Help patients with walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant license.
- 0–1 year of relevant experience.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
