Certified Nursing Assistant – Medical Surgical (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join its Medical‑Surgical unit. This full‑time position works 3 × 12‑hour shifts and may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends based on availability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene care such as bedpans, showers, baths, backrubs, and shaving.
• Assist with meals, feeding, ambulation, turning, positioning, and hydration.
• Administer enemas, douches, non‑sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, therapeutic and sitz baths, and apply restraints when required.
• Perform urine testing, specimen collection, post‑mortem care, and record vital signs, intake, and output.
• Respond promptly to call lights, transport patients and equipment, and maintain a safe environment.
• Report patient conditions to the assigned nurse and adhere to unit policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• 0–1 year of relevant patient‑care experience (new graduates welcome).
