Certified Nursing Assistant – Full-Time

About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential bedside care to patients at the University of Miami Hospital and UHealth SoLe Mia Medical Center. Working under the supervision of registered nurses, the CNA assists with daily living activities, vital sign monitoring, and basic clinical procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support feeding, ambulation, turning, and positioning of patients.
• Collect non‑invasive specimens, record vital signs, and document patient interactions.
• Administer enemas, non‑sterile dressings, therapeutic baths, and apply restraints when required.
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests.
• Transport patients and equipment safely throughout the facility.
• Report patient conditions to the assigned nurse for professional assessment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• 0–1 year of relevant patient‑care experience (experience not required).
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Commitment to confidentiality, university policies, and core values.
