Certified Nursing Assistant – Full Time at UTower

About the role

The University of Miami Hospitals & Clinics is seeking a full‑time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Penthouse North unit in UTower. You will provide direct patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and hygiene for a diverse inpatient population.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, shaving, and toileting.
• Support meals, feeding, ambulation, turning, and positioning of patients.
• Administer enemas, douches, non‑sterile dressings, surgical prep, ice/heat packs, and therapeutic baths.
• Perform urine testing, specimen collection, and post‑mortem care.
• Respond promptly to call lights, transport patients and equipment, and maintain a safe environment.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and report patient conditions to the assigned nurse.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum three years of relevant CNA experience.
