Certified Nursing Assistant – Dermatology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics is seeking a full‑time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Dermatology unit. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will provide direct patient care, assist with procedures, and support the clinical team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support meals, feeding, ambulation, turning, and positioning of patients.
• Administer non‑sterile dressings, enemas, douches, and therapeutic treatments.
• Collect non‑invasive specimens, perform urine testing, and record vital signs.
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests.
• Transport patients and equipment while maintaining a safe environment.
• Document patient interactions and report conditions to the assigned nurse.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Valid State of Florida CNA license.
• Ability to learn new procedures, adapt to changing priorities, and work collaboratively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
