Certified Nursing Assistant – Cardiac/Telemetry (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics is seeking a full‑time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work on the Cardiac/Telemetry unit. The CNA will provide direct patient care, maintain a safe environment, and support nursing staff in delivering high‑quality clinical services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bedpans, showers, backrubs, and shaving.
• Support meals and feeding, ambulate, turn, and position patients, and provide water and nourishment between meals.
• Administer non‑sterile dressings, enemas, douches, ice packs, heat treatments, therapeutic baths, and apply restraints as needed.
• Perform urine testing, specimen collection, and post‑mortem care.
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests.
• Transport patients and equipment, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Report patient conditions to assigned nurses and record vital signs, intake, and output.
• Assist patients with walking, exercising, and transferring in and out of bed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience (new graduates welcome).
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and on‑call as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar computer software.
