Certified Nursing Assistant 3 – Neuro ICU (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant 3 to join the Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This full‑time position works 3 × 12‑hour shifts covering days, evenings, and nights as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene care, including bedpans, showers, shaves, and backrubs.
• Assist with meals, feeding, ambulation, turning, and positioning of patients.
• Administer non‑sterile dressings, enemas, therapeutic baths, and apply restraints when required.
• Collect specimens, perform urine testing, and assist with post‑mortem care.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and report patient conditions to the assigned nurse.
• Support minor physical therapy routines and prevent bedsores.
• Assist lower‑level CNAs and handle equipment transport.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant CNA experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to prioritize under pressure.
