Certified Nursing Assistant 2 – Research Infusion Services

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant 2 to join the Research Infusion Services team within the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This full‑time, onsite position provides direct patient care in a fast‑paced research environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support meals, feeding, ambulation, turning, and positioning of patients.
• Administer non‑sterile dressings, enemas, douches, therapeutic baths, and apply restraints when needed.
• Collect specimens, perform urine testing, and provide post‑mortem care.
• Respond promptly to call lights and maintain a safe environment.
• Measure and record intake/output, vital signs, and report patient conditions to the assigned nurse.
• Assist with minor physical therapy, attach EKG leads, and manage intravenous nutrition feeding.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• Minimum three years of relevant CNA experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
• Commitment to confidentiality, detail‑oriented work, and University core values.

Required skills

• EKG lead attachment.
