Certified Nursing Assistant 2 – Blood Hydration Unit (Full-Time)

About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA‑2) provides intermediate patient care in the Blood Hydration Unit of the University of Miami Hospital. Working under a registered nurse, you will support patients with daily living activities, vital sign monitoring, and specialized procedures such as intravenous nutrition.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with hygiene, dressing, bathing, and feeding.
• Collect non‑invasive body fluid specimens and perform urine testing.
• Measure, record, and report vital signs and intake/output.
• Assemble, monitor, and discontinue intravenous feeding tubes.
• Attach EKG leads, remove catheters, and perform minor physical‑therapy routines.
• Administer enemas, non‑sterile dressings, and therapeutic baths.
• Respond promptly to call lights and maintain a safe patient environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant CNA experience.
• Valid State of Florida CNA license.
• Ability to learn new procedures and work collaboratively in a team.
