Certified Nurse Assistant 3 – Full-Time Nursing Support

About the role

The Certified Nurse Assistant 3 provides intermediate patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse at the University of Miami Hospital & Clinics. The role focuses on assisting patients with daily living activities, collecting specimens, monitoring vital signs, and managing intravenous nutrition.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with hygiene, dressing, bathing, and feeding.
• Collect non‑invasive body fluid specimens and perform urine testing.
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and nutritional data.
• Assemble, monitor, and discontinue intravenous nutrition feeding tubes.
• Attach EKG leads, remove catheters, and perform minor physical‑therapy routines.
• Provide patient mobility support, including transfers and ambulation.
• Respond promptly to call lights and maintain a safe patient environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant CNA experience.
• Valid State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• Ability to learn new procedures and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork orientation.
