Certified Medical Assistant (Level 2) – Full-time

About the role

The Department of Urology at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Certified Medical Assistant (Level 2) to provide direct patient care on‑site at its clinic on NW 14th Street, Miami, FL. Reporting to a licensed physician and working closely with nursing leadership, the MA 2 will support clinical procedures and patient management in a culturally competent, evidence‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations.
• Provide hands‑on patient care while adhering to regulatory and institutional policies.
• Document patient information and communicate updates to the care team.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies, following ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, and unit designee to ensure safe delivery of care.
• Participate in unit/clinic programs, meetings, and team‑building activities.
