Certified Medical Assistant 3 (Administrative) – Hybrid

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Neurology seeks a full‑time Certified Medical Assistant 3 (Administrative) to work on a hybrid schedule at the UHealth Medical Campus. This non‑patient‑facing position supports medical providers with a range of clinical and administrative tasks while adhering to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms with necessary supplies and instruments.
• Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and routine laboratory tests.
• Document patient information accurately in medical records.
• Administer medication as directed by physicians.
• Escort and transport patients within the hospital.
• Maintain and sterilize medical instruments following sterile technique.
• Schedule patient tests and complete required laboratory forms.
• Provide patients with post‑visit instructions and care information.

Required profile

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with at least three years of experience.
• Ability to work under direct supervision of a licensed physician.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient privacy, and emergency response.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
