About the role

The Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking an experienced Central Sterile Processing (CSP) Inventory Coordinator to support its Long Island Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will ensure that surgical teams have the right instruments, implants, and sterile supplies to deliver high‑quality patient care every day.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory levels of surgical supplies, implants, and instrumentation.
  • Coordinate receipt, tracking, and documentation of implants and loaner trays.
  • Ensure proper sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Collaborate with OR teams, supply chain, and leadership to support daily operations.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to CSP staff.
  • Monitor compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CRCST certification (IAHCSMM/HSPA).
  • 3+ years of experience in sterile processing and OR inventory management.

Required skills

  • CRCST certification.
