Center Administrator – Petrucelli Lab

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Office of the Dean seeks a Center Administrator to support the Petrucelli Lab at the UHealth campus in Miami. The role provides leadership and administrative oversight to ensure the center operates efficiently and aligns with strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the center’s progress, creating administrative solutions.
• Assist in developing and communicating policy and procedural changes to faculty, staff, and stakeholders.
• Direct communications, media relations, and public information programs to advance the center’s mission.
• Coordinate medical communications for accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to shape key issues, strategies, and public relationship initiatives.
• Maintain regular contact with faculty and staff to stay informed on research, treatment, and academic activities.
• Develop and sustain media contacts across local, regional, national, and international outlets.
• Generate evaluative data on programs and devise administrative solutions for seamless operation.
• Establish and assess internal controls, ensuring compliance with university policies and training employees accordingly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to align departmental goals with enterprise‑wide strategy.
• Strong financial management and budgeting expertise.
• Experience in resource allocation and facilities management.
