CDL A City Truck Driver – Local Routes

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a CDL‑A City & Pickup & Delivery driver for its Des Moines service center. You will operate local routes, delivering and picking up freight each day while returning to the terminal.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city deliveries and pickups with multiple stops per shift.
• Use scanning equipment to track shipments and interact directly with customers.
• Complete lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack when required.
• Return to the home terminal daily after completing routes.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A experience in the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, ≤3 moving violations in 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA transition specs).
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physically able to bend, lift and stoop safely.
• Dependable and able to operate equipment safely at all times.
