Casual Forklift Operator – Part-Time

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Casual Forklift Operator to join our Matteson facility on a part‑time basis. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and a flexible schedule, with preferred shifts on Fridays, Saturdays (starting at 4 am) and Mondays (starting at 5 pm), though other days are considered.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to load and unload freight.
• Read and follow manifests to ensure accurate handling of shipments.
• Use computer displays to track loads and update inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.

Required profile

• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work varied shifts.
• Prior forklift experience, especially in a fast‑paced setting.
• Some experience with less‑than‑truckload (LTL) operations is a plus.
