Cashier (Part-Time)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our Miami store on a part‑time, afternoon shift. As a Cashier you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth and pleasant checkout experience while upholding the values and safety standards of Sedano’s Supermarkets.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide excellent customer service.
• Accurately scan items, weigh produce, and operate the cash register.
• Accept all forms of payment, give correct change, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
• Perform cash counts at the start and end of each shift.
• Conduct price checks and bag purchases efficiently.
• Assist customers with loading items into carts or bags when needed.
• Return discarded items to shelves and keep the sales floor organized.
• Maintain cleanliness of the conveyor belt, scanner, scale, and checkout area.
• Follow all store policies, safety procedures, and dress‑code requirements.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to follow company policies and safety guidelines.
• Reliability for a part‑time afternoon schedule.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail when handling cash.
