Cashier - 2nd Shift

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Cashier for the 2nd shift. As a cashier, you provide efficient, effective customer service in the checkout lane, creating quality customer experiences that have a positive and lasting impact on customers.

Key responsibilities

• Complete transactions and handle money in all forms responsibly, maintaining accuracy of point-of-sale purchases.
• Use technology to carry out tasks and create positive moments for customers.
• Handle customer questions adequately and build trusting relationships that encourage return visits.
• Display good eye contact and body language, with a friendly and outgoing attitude.

Required profile

• 18 years of age or older.
• Previous retail or customer experience preferred but not required.
• Detail-oriented, organized and eager to work with customers.

Required skills

• Strong listening and verbal communication skills, face-to-face and virtually.
• Ability to operate the cashier register system.
• Problem-solving ability and willingness to learn, or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
