Case Worker 2 – Maternal Child Health Services

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Pediatrics is seeking a full‑time Case Worker 2 to deliver maternal‑child health services to pregnant women and infants enrolled in the Healthy Start/CIR CONNECT programs. This direct‑service role involves home visits, client assessments, care planning, and coordination of a wide range of supportive services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct situational analyses through home and office visits, providing mentorship and technical assistance as needed.
• Collaborate with service agencies, program leadership, and funding sources to ensure appropriate service delivery and resource availability.
• Develop and deliver training for family support networks and care providers on early care and education topics.
• Maintain and review client records to ensure compliance with project guidelines and university policies.
• Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, and external meetings (e.g., Early Learning Coalition, United Way).
• Provide comprehensive case management, including parenting education, breastfeeding support, tobacco cessation, inter‑conception care, childbirth education, and psychosocial referrals.

Required profile

• Willingness to conduct home visits using a personal vehicle.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Experience or background in maternal‑child health, public health, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, community resources, and referral processes.
