Case Worker 2 – Housing & Employment Specialist

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Case Worker 2 who will serve as a Housing and Employment Specialist within the Department of Pediatrics‑Perinatal Care. The role focuses on providing maternal‑child health services, coordinating community resources, and supporting families through comprehensive case management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct situational analyses through home and office visits, providing mentorship and technical assistance as needed.
• Collaborate with service agencies, program leadership, and funding sources to ensure appropriate service delivery and resource availability.
• Develop and deliver training for family support networks and care providers on early care and education topics.
• Maintain and review records to ensure compliance with project guidelines and university policies.
• Stay current on available services, regulations, and community resources.
• Attend meetings and trainings with partners such as the Early Learning Coalition, United Way, and Quality Counts Career Center.
• Provide maternal‑child health services including recruitment, client assessments, individualized care plan development, and comprehensive care coordination.
• Perform quality assurance and improvement activities related to service delivery.
• Conduct home visits using a personal vehicle and work evenings or weekends as required.

Required profile

• Willingness and ability to conduct home visits, including use of a personal vehicle.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet client needs.
• Strong knowledge of community resources and ability to navigate service systems.
• Experience developing and monitoring family support plans.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and adhere to university policies.
