Case Manager – Autism Services

About the role

The University of Miami’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) seeks a full‑time Case Manager to support adolescents and adults with autism and related disabilities in Miami Lakes, FL. This role blends direct family assistance, service coordination, and community education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individualized family assistance to eligible CARD clients, assessing needs and making appropriate referrals.
• Maintain an active caseload of several hundred adolescent and adult clients, delivering educational, transition, and employment support in schools, homes, and community settings.
• Facilitate case coordination and information sharing with other providers, respecting legal confidentiality requirements.
• Offer expert consultation and technical assistance to local schools and educational programs serving individuals with autism.
• Develop and deliver specialized trainings, workshops, seminars, and conferences for families and professionals.
• Review diagnostic and medical reports to determine eligibility for services and maintain accurate case documentation.
• Participate in public education and awareness activities, including community speaking engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in special education, psychology, behavior analysis, social work, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience working with individuals with autism or related disabilities.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong interpersonal communication, compassion, time‑management, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective public‑speaking and dynamic presentation skills.
