Case Management Assistant

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a solutions‑driven Case Management Assistant to support refugees and vulnerable populations in Washington State. You will work closely with Extended Caseworkers to deliver culturally responsive services that promote autonomy, empowerment, and long‑term stability.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments using the PRIME tool to identify barriers, strengths, and needs of each participant.
• Develop and maintain individualized service plans with clear goals, timelines, and regular progress monitoring.
• Coordinate referrals to internal and external service providers, follow up to ensure delivery, and record participant satisfaction.
• Maintain monthly contact with participants to review goals, adjust plans, and prepare for case closure.
• Assist participants with applications for essential benefits (cash, food, medical aid) and teach them how to use online systems independently.
• Document outcomes and report quarterly according to PRIME standards.

Required profile

• Passionate change‑maker with a commitment to humanitarian impact.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with survivors of domestic and gender‑based violence, older refugees, and youth.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a union‑represented environment.

Required skills

• Experience conducting client assessments and developing service plans.
• Proficiency in coordinating referrals and navigating community resources.
• Familiarity with benefit application processes and online service platforms.
