About the role
The University of Miami Health System seeks a dynamic leader to direct its Cardiovascular Fellowship Program. This position balances program administration with a robust clinical practice in general cardiology.
Key responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the General Cardiology Fellowship.
- Design, update, and ensure curriculum meets accreditation standards.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding of fellows.
- Mentor and supervise fellows, monitoring progress and delivering feedback.
- Coordinate educational activities such as lectures, case conferences, journal clubs, and research opportunities.
- Support fellows in scholarly activities, including research projects and conference presentations.
- Lead faculty development initiatives and quality‑improvement efforts.
- Maintain collaborations with other departments, institutions, and professional organizations.
Required profile
- MD or DO degree.
- Experience managing a cardiovascular fellowship program.
- Excellent clinical skills in inpatient and outpatient cardiology.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor physicians and lead educational initiatives.
