Cancer Communications Professional

About the role
The University of Vermont Cancer Center seeks a creative Cancer Communications Professional to enhance the visibility of its research and patient services. You will work with internal and external teams to produce multimedia content that supports marketing, public relations, and brand‑building initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute communication strategies across e‑newsletters, the Drupal 10 website, print materials, and social‑media channels.
- Design, produce, and place branded graphics and videos that align with the UVM Cancer Center’s brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with health professionals, patients, and scientists to gather accurate content.
- Provide public‑relations support, including media outreach and event promotion.
- Prioritize projects, recommend new tools, and ensure quality control throughout the production process.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in graphic design, web editing, and creating digital or print marketing materials.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and within a team‑based environment.
- Willingness to travel to worksites, occasional evenings/weekends, and operate a university van when needed.
