Campus Clinical Housekeeping (Customer Care) Position

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a reliable Campus Clinical Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness across academic, research, and patient‑care areas. This role supports a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for staff, students, and patients within a 5‑million‑square‑foot campus.

Key responsibilities

• Empty waste baskets, remove trash, and replace liners throughout designated zones.
• Wipe surfaces, clean floors, and perform routine sanitization of patient‑care and laboratory spaces.
• Follow established cleaning schedules, safety standards, and institutional policies.
• Report maintenance issues and supply needs to supervisory staff.
• Adhere to infection‑control protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Prior experience in housekeeping or custodial services.
• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption.
