CAD Technician

About the role

We are seeking a CAD Technician to join our civil engineering team in St. Louis. The role focuses on producing accurate 2D and 3D transportation drawings for water, sewer, utility, and roadway projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and revise detailed 2D/3D transportation drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or MicroStation/OpenRoads when required).
• Draft roadway geometric layouts, grading, cross‑sections, plan‑profile sheets, and traffic control plans.
• Prepare striping, signage, pavement markings, and utility coordination plans.
• Incorporate redlines and design changes from engineers and project managers.
• Maintain organized drawing sets and ensure compliance with project CAD standards.
• Assist in creating exhibits, corridor maps, and presentation graphics for meetings.
• Support quantity measurements and basic calculations related to transportation design.

Required profile

• Associate degree or certificate in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of drafting experience, preferably in transportation or civil engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering sketches and mark‑ups.
• Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
