CAD Designer II – Electric Wheel Loader Engineering

About the role

Komatsu is seeking a CAD Designer II to join the Electric Wheel Loader Engineering Department in Longview, Texas. The role focuses on creating and refining components for next‑generation electric wheel loaders, supporting the full product lifecycle from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop components and systems for electric wheel loaders, ensuring performance and safety compliance.
• Create detailed CAD models and drafting documents, including assemblies and parts lists for manufacturing and field service.
• Support engineering evaluations through tests, analysis, and calculations to validate design concepts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams under senior engineering supervision to meet project timelines.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
• Communicate design considerations with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Service, Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality Assurance.
• Assist in managing engineering change orders and maintain accurate document control.
