C++ Software Engineer

About the role

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group), a global financial markets infrastructure and data business, is hiring a C++ Software Engineer. You will design, develop and deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs, working with cross-functional teams to build reliable, scalable and well-tested applications. The role involves system integration, production support and staying up to date with evolving technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Work with team members to identify the best solution for meeting business requirements.
• Deliver high-quality market logic normalization code and configuration.
• Keep software bug-free through automated regression testing, unit tests and code reviews.
• Collaborate with QA and Operations to ensure successful integration into test and production environments.

Required profile

• Full software development life-cycle experience.
• 2 years of experience with C++.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented development.
• Ability to work with Technical Architects and Product Owners to build to specification.

Required skills

• C++ and object-oriented programming.
• Test-driven development and debugging.
• Preferred: Linux, Agile, automated testing, Python, Unix or PowerShell shell scripts, JavaScript and Node.js, real-time programming, multi-threaded debugging, design patterns, financial markets and low-latency market data systems.
