Buyer – Purchasing Team

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented Buyer to join our Purchasing team at LAMM Food Service. In this role you will drive cost‑effective buying, strengthen supplier relationships and support smooth operations across multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and negotiate with vendors to secure optimal pricing, quality and service.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and accountability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and align strategies with business goals.
• Monitor inventory levels, lead times and demand to avoid stockouts or excess.
• Analyze purchasing and market data to identify cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities.
• Participate in vendor performance reviews and recommend improvements.
• Proactively manage risks and develop alternative sourcing options to mitigate supply‑chain disruptions.
• Stay current on industry trends, pricing shifts and market developments to guide purchasing strategies.
• Maintain accurate purchasing documentation, pricing data and delivery records.
• Support procurement policy updates and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager or Senior Buyer.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply‑chain management.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in vendor relationship management and strategic negotiation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of procurement ethics, policies and compliance requirements.
