Buyer – Procurement & Supplier Management

About the role

As a Buyer you will manage sourcing and purchasing activities for selected categories, components, or suppliers. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure quality, delivery performance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the supply base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities for assigned suppliers, materials, or categories.
• Secure timely delivery, quality, and cost performance aligned with business needs.
• Build and maintain long‑term supplier partnerships based on trust and continuous improvement.
• Support supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract management.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and drive improvement plans.
• Identify cost‑reduction and efficiency opportunities to enhance supply chain resilience.
• Support sourcing projects for new products, capacity expansion, and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Alfa Laval policies, sustainability requirements, and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, operations management or related field (preferred).
• 3+ years’ experience in purchasing, sourcing, supply chain or procurement operations.
• Experience working with suppliers in an industrial or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Proficiency in procurement software/tools.
