Buyer – Procurement Specialist for Natural Gas Compression

About the role

We are seeking a self‑motivated Buyer to manage the procurement of goods and equipment essential to our natural‑gas compression operations. The role involves sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery in line with company guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate material requisitions from internal clients and source required items from inventory or external vendors.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in SAP, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers, including expediting for on‑time receipt.
• Manage the bidding process, monitor costs, warranties, shipments, and handle payment or cancellation issues.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve late deliveries or material failures and develop corrective action plans.
• Provide price estimates and solicit quotations as needed for project material needs.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of buying, pricing, and expediting experience within a purchasing function.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of natural‑gas compression parts and industry specifications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
