Buyer – Procurement and Inventory Management

About the role

The Buyer is responsible for ensuring that goods ordered from suppliers arrive at our distribution centers on time and accurately, supporting sales and order‑fulfillment goals. This position works closely with Sales, Warehouse Operations, and Suppliers and follows a flexible hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze forecast data with Sales to develop inventory plans and execute purchase orders.
• Follow the procure‑to‑pay cycle, prepare purchase orders per BBG policies, and resolve receiving or payment issues.
• File and follow up on claims with suppliers or carriers, and manage transportation for non‑supplier‑delivered goods.
• Review monthly inventory changes, report on aging, unsaleable stock, and cycle‑count adjustments.
• Maintain purchasing data and reports in the ERP system and perform item maintenance for reliable MRP reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing or related experience.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently or within a fast‑paced, high‑volume team.

Required skills

• Proficient PC skills using MS Office.
• Experience with ERP and MRP systems.
