Buyer I – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Vallen is seeking a motivated Buyer I to support the procurement of stock and non‑stock items for its distribution network, warehouses, and assigned clients. You will ensure that purchases meet the company’s standards for price, quality, timing and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities to satisfy current and forecasted demand in line with Vallen’s purchasing strategy.
• Review and approve inventory forecasts and daily replenishment recommendations generated by the GAINS application.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor orders, monitor order status, and expedite or de‑expedite deliveries as needed.
• Track product quality and timeliness, coordinate returns of damaged or excess inventory, and manage liquidation activities.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor performance and inventory levels.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with data‑driven forecasting tools.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple purchase orders and inventory streams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the GAINS procurement application.
