Business Unit Leader – Early Intervention

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Business Unit Leader for its Early Intervention platform within the DePuy Synthes MedTech organization. This senior position will drive national sales, marketing, market access and pricing strategies for a market‑leading orthopaedic solution that treats early‑stage osteoarthritis.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the national sales strategy to achieve Early Intervention sales objectives.
• Develop long‑term vision and strategy to sustain market leadership after the upcoming separation of DePuy Synthes.
• Lead market‑access and pricing initiatives, including payer contracting and value‑proposition development.
• Build, mentor and engage the Early Intervention leadership team and broader organization.
• Design and implement sales compensation frameworks and collaborate with Finance on business plans.
• Manage the expense budget, monitor performance with senior leaders and drive corrective actions.
• Foster an inclusive culture and optimize both direct and indirect sales channels.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
• Five+ years of people‑leadership experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or orthopaedic sales, marketing and market‑access.
• Proven ability to lead through change, manage P&L, and deliver revenue and profitability targets.
• Strong business and financial acumen with a data‑driven decision‑making approach.
• Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically.
