Business Systems Analyst III

About the role

Robert Half is hiring a Business Systems Analyst III for its Front Office Technology Group in San Ramon. The analyst analyzes business problems and designs automated solutions, processes and procedures, creating system specifications that meet business requirements and providing consultation to users on automated systems.

Key responsibilities

• Review design proposals and give feedback on their alignment with business requirements.
• Ensure application systems align with user needs, objectives, processes and business strategy.
• Provide consultation on complex projects and act as a subject matter expert and project lead.
• Help establish and review department delivery policies and procedures.
• Guide implementation of new business processes and ensure integrated system and production support is in place.
• Oversee and guide BSAs and business partners on day-to-day application and production issues.
• Develop system implementation strategy with stakeholders and create project plans covering the full development lifecycle, including maintenance planning.
• Lead reviews of detailed functional requirements and obtain formal approval from business owners, developers and QA.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, other technical training in business, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of business functional area experience, specifically in ERP General Ledger systems.
• SME-level business acumen across several areas, with deep knowledge of multiple enterprise applications.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical users and to draw complex process flow diagrams.

Required skills

• MS Office Suite and PeopleSoft functional training.
• Security administration and strong SQL knowledge.
• Complete SDLC experience and Java / .NET exposure.
• System development and project management methodologies (OO, PMI).
• Requirements gathering, gap analysis, test planning and writing complex queries and reports.

What we offer

• Salary range of $94,000 to $138,000, negotiable, with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
