Business Supply Chain Engineer

About the role

3M is seeking a Business Supply Chain Engineer to translate portfolio objectives into actionable supply‑chain plans and drive end‑to‑end execution across planning, sourcing, manufacturing and delivery. You will work with global teams to improve processes, support new product introductions and ensure the supply chain meets growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Convert business objectives into Enterprise Supply Chain (ESC) requirements and develop operational execution plans.
• Lead division‑specific improvement projects using engineering and supply‑chain principles.
• Partner with product divisions to manage product lifecycle, portfolio excellence and NPI activities.
• Ensure ESC performance aligns with global division goals and long‑range capacity plans.
• Drive service, quality, cost, cash and reliability across planning, sourcing, manufacturing and delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (verified before start).
• At least seven years of combined engineering, manufacturing, and/or supply‑chain experience.
• Experience in chemical, electrical, mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering is preferred.
• Background in manufacturing, supply‑chain or R&D environments.
• Proven ability to work on global cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Web handling, coating, converting, mixing and filling processes.
• Continuous Improvement tools and Lean principles.
• Statistical analysis for process improvement.
• Capital equipment installation and scale‑up project management.
