Business Performance Improvement Intern 2027

About the role

Protiviti is hiring Business Performance Improvement interns in Houston for 2027. Interns work with clients, typically among the world's leading companies, to deliver solutions for complex business problems in finance, operations, people and change. The internship offers a mix of project work, training and a preview of the firm's entry-level career path.

Key responsibilities

• Work with clients on finance performance management, financial reporting remediation and compliance, people and change, and supply chain and operations.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver client solutions and receive hands-on training on each project.
• Participate in Liftoff, the onboarding experience, and The Intern Challenge, an experiential learning course.
• Join committees, employee network groups and social, civic and networking activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline such as accounting, finance, human resources, project management, supply chain or another business major.
• Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of the internship.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Applicants must be 18 years old at the start of the internship and apply for only one location or capability.

Required skills

• Experience solving problems with AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, GenAI).
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and innovation to client engagements across industries.
• Foundations in accounting and finance processes, documenting findings and sharing recommendations, and entry-level knowledge of organizational operations.
