Business Intelligence Analyst - Power BI

About the role

The Business Intelligence Administrator works under the Manager, IT and is responsible for automating workflows, coordinating with business partners and designing business tools that support data-driven decision making. The role works with a team to create new workflows for front-end and back-end operations, and reports to the Manager, IT.

Key responsibilities

• Work with operational teams and the Project Controls Team to integrate applications such as Procore, Exaktime, Power BI, Fieldwire and others.
• Assist with the development of the MIS Enterprise application.
• Work with Finance, FP&A and executive leadership to understand drivers of financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze financial data and build financial models for budgeting, long-term forecasting and decision support.
• Research and analyze operational improvements, profitability, ROI, revenue/cost analysis and business development initiatives.
• Prepare, analyze and summarize monthly financials and key performance indicator reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Support project teams in business improvement initiatives and complete ad hoc requests as directed by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in MIS/IT or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience in project management or project controls.
• Self-motivated and highly analytical, able to work in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Industrial field experience is a plus; project management experience (PMP) is a plus.

Required skills

• Building and configuring customized Power BI reports from creation through presentation.
• SQL Server and SQL.
• API application integration.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Word and Outlook.
