Business Development Specialist

About the role

CACI is hiring a Business Development Specialist in Arlington, Virginia, on a regular full-time basis. The role supports a mission-focused team driving growth across Federal Government, Defense and Civilian markets, helping to win pursuits of $10M to $50M and more, working closely with capture leaders, technical experts, consultants and partners. About 10% of the time is spent traveling locally for conferences and customer engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage captures in assigned markets, and monitor opportunities to identify aligned RFIs and pre-proposal leads.
• Develop capture strategies, teaming plans, business plans and marketing content using SOPs and templates.
• Build winning proposals covering technical, management, teaming, past performance, staffing and pricing.
• Lead customer profiling and competitive assessments against incumbents and competitors.
• Prepare and lead Milestone Reviews and other required reviews once opportunities are assigned.
• Maintain the business group's knowledge management system to track and forecast opportunities.
• Recommend technology solutions and engage customers virtually and in person.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent education plus experience.
• Five years of relevant experience, or equivalent education plus experience.
• Experience capturing single-award government opportunities of up to $100M or more.
• Strong proposal development and writing skills.
• Understanding of the FAR and DFAR.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Desired qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Communications, Finance or Project Management.
• Business development experience with the Departments of War, Veterans Affairs, Transportation or Homeland Security.
• Understanding of acquisition and procurement support services, strategic communications, program management and data analytics.
